CHEVY TRUCK INSTALL CONTINUED. . . . .

To install Wheel wells - temporarily screw the back of the well to the lower fender panel.  First trim a notch to allow it to slip in.  Trim off the outer 3/4 " of the wheel well that normally contact the front end.  Normally only 1/3 of the wheel well can be glassed to and tilted with the front end - the other 2/3 must remain stationary on the vehicle.   Allow 1/2" gap between these town pieces to permit the use of a rubber dirt seal.
Picture shown upside down for better viewing!
To install the grill - lights & bezels -  simply open the marked areas on the front end with a drill and a square rat tail file.  Install the headlight buckets, chrome trim, and side markers.  Before installing the grill you will need to sand off the original under hood mounting tab on both the grill and the bezel.  Again remove everything once properly aligned - then paint and reassemble.
Looks like steel - doesn't it?! Notice the top post angle - Full curve not possible.
Easiest of all the install is that of the new fiberglass bed.  Align the bed on the frame - the under bracing may require notching for proper fit.  Back drill the original mounting locations from underneath.   Measure the bolt length and go buy the bolts required to through bolt the assembly through either just the existing glass floor or the aluminum or wood floor that is chosen for the project. The bed marker lights and fuel filler neck must be prefitted  prior to painting.  Paint, Buff & Reinstall
Diamond plate just made this bed almost indestructable. Leave this part to the Pros! Professional Glass installation Required!
The windshield is the final step of the assembly.  There may be some shrinkage involved with the fiberglass body.  The windshield must be professionally fitted / installed and may require sanding for an easier fit.  This project vehicle needed 1/4" removed from both side of the new glass for correct fit.
